Well, from what I see, it might be an incompatibility issue, between JQuery Tools 1.1.2 (retrieved from CDN server) and the 1.2.7 version, downloaded by me...
But, at last, it works!

To view our animated example locally you need to download the following files:

example_jquerytools.html

example_jquerytools.css

jquery.zweatherfeed.min.js

(Both the jQuery and jQueryTools libraries are referenced from CDN sites so you will need an Internet connection to make the sample work)

Unfortunately Google limits the number of times you can geocode from locations at any one time (around 10).

We are looking into a new version that lets you get the long/lat values from a location and then use them in the plugin. Hi

As you thought, this is caused by the font script executing before the RSS feed script has completed. The zRSSFeed has a callback parameter that can be used in this type of situation.

The example below shows how to use Cufon with zRSSFeed:
